Cosmetic Bonding and Veneers
Are you unhappy with the size, shape, or color of your teeth? Are you self-conscious about your smile? If that’s the case, then direct cosmetic bonding or lab-fabricated veneers might be options for you.
Direct Bonding
Direct bonding uses tooth-colored resin composite filling material that the dentist can place over your front teeth to improve their appearance. The advantages of this option is that it involves minimal-to-no tooth structure removal, it can be done in one appointment, and it is relatively inexpensive when compared with more involved cosmetic procedures.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are fabricated by a lab technician and placed over the front visible portion of your tooth by the dentist in our office. Unlike using directly bonded restorations, fabricating porcelain veneers allows us to more precisely reshape or change the color of your front teeth to meet your esthetic goals. Because veneers are non-porous, they are resistant to stains caused by everyday foods and drinks. However, not everyone is a good candidate for veneers, so you will need to call our office to schedule a consultation with one of our dentists to see if veneers are a good option for you.
