Dental Emergencies

Dr. DaSilva and his staff are always here for you if you experience a dental emergency. We understand that you may experience an unanticipated dental problem, and we want to be available to you to help you get through it. Below is a list of some of the common dental emergencies that we are more than happy to treat in our office.

Tooth Pain

  • Extreme sensitivity to hot or cold
  • Constant, lingering pain
  • Extreme pain when biting down
  • Pain waking you up at night

Dental Abscess

  • You may be see a swelling of the gums around your tooth or on your face
  • You may experience extreme pain of your teeth or jaws

Dental Trauma

  • Broken front tooth
  • Tooth is loose or out of position
  • Tooth knocked out
  • Injury to lips or jaws

Please call our office as soon as you realize you are experiencing a dental emergency. The front desk staff will speak with you over the phone and schedule you an appointment as soon as possible.

When an accurate dental diagnosis is made, we will explain to you what we see and how we recommend treating the problem. We will do our best to quickly get you out of pain and set you up with an appointment for in office treatment, or a referral to ensure that your dental concern is thoroughly addressed.

Dental Emergency Process

Call to Schedule an Appointment:
Please call our office as soon as you realize you are experiencing a dental emergency. The front desk staff will speak with you over the phone and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Examination:
Once you are in the office, the dentist will examine your mouth and face. We may also need to take an x-ray of the problem area. Both of these things are often necessary so that we can diagnose your dental emergency properly.

Address and Treat the Problem:
Once an accurate dental diagnosis is made, we will explain to you what we see and how we recommend treating the problem. We will do our best to quickly get you out of pain and set you up so that the dental concern can be treated thoroughly.
